The Clayton Recreation Committee is proud to share that a new Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) has been installed for community use. A PAD—commonly known as an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)—is a simple, portable device that can save a life by checking heart rhythm and delivering a shock if needed during sudden cardiac arrest.
These devices are designed so that anyone can use them, offering clear voice and visual prompts to guide you through the process. Having a PAD available helps ensure that lifesaving action can begin immediately while waiting for emergency responders.
You’ll find the new PAD mounted outside the Clayton Community Center at 147 Linn Bower Lane, where it is available around the clock.
