This October marks 48 years of the Clayton Community Centre serving as a social hub for our village—thanks entirely to the hard work of volunteers. We’re now looking for new board members to join the Clayton Recreation Club and help keep this important community space thriving.

There will be no Olde Tyme Dinner & Dance at the Clayton Community Center in April as it falls on the Easter weekend.  Our volunteers will be spending the weekend with family and friends.  We will return on Sunday, May 3rd.

On May 5, 2025, trees were planted at the Clayton Community Center Ballfield in memory of Reg Pye and Chris Carroll. Family and friends raised the funds through a BBQ fundraiser during a ball tournament. These trees will provide shade for future players and spectators, serving as a lasting tribute to Reg and Chris, who were both well-loved members of the community. They will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

The Clayton Recreation Club has a straightforward Mission Statement: To ensure the long-term viability of the Clayton Community Centre (including the ballfield and grounds) as a hub for hosting a wide range of year-round activities and events for local and surrounding communities; and to provide an appealing, versatile facility for area residents, businesses and organizations to host their own events.

The current volunteer Board of Directors is prioritizing key capital projects over the next few years, including washroom and kitchen upgrades, siding repairs, backup power installation, and accessibility improvements. While we are actively fundraising and working with the municipality, we need added support to secure grants, finalize plans, and complete these projects.
